You Remodeling Questions Answered

Q: How Long Will The Process Take?

A: Waiting for material usually takes the longest. Depending on the company, cabinetry typically takes 3-4 weeks to arrive, sometimes even up to 6 weeks. Once cabinets are set, countertops tend to take an additional 1-2 weeks (depending on which material you choose). Plumbing items as well as flooring are typically only 7-10 days. The actual tear out and installation usually takes about 3 weeks depending on the size of the project. We will not start the tear out/installation until all ordered products arrive.

Q: Do You Install Cabinets And Countertops Yourselves?

A: Yes, we can install the cabinetry and some countertops. We build our own laminate tops and install those ourselves; however, if you prefer granite or quartz, the company you order from will come out, template, and install the top themselves. We have a team of individuals that can easily install and complete the entire remodel.

Q: Can We Do Some Of The Work Ourselves To Save Money?

A: Absolutely! If you feel comfortable doing any of the manual labor yourself, even if it’s just tearing out existing items, we can work with you to accommodate your budget. We can do as much or as little as you’d like for us to do.

Q: Which Countertop Material Is Best?

A: This answer mainly comes down to budget and looks. If you love the look of granite but don’t have the finances for it, new and improved laminate products are available that look just like granite. The only drawbacks to a laminate surface is that you shouldn’t cut on it or place hot items directly on it. Corian or another solid surface brand is a good option if you would like an integrated sink. Granite and Quartz are both great options because both are very durable. You can cut right on them and place hot items directly on the surface without any damage. Since granite is a natural stone, you will have to seal it on a regular basis. Quartz is man-made, so no maintenance is required. The only possible drawback to granite and quartz is the pricing.

Q: How Much Will My Project Cost?

A: Unfortunately, it is very hard to give an estimate immediately upon entering the space. Pricing comes down to the scale of the remodel. Products of all kinds can vary in cost dramatically. Our team will take your budget into careful consideration when it comes to material selection. We will give our best recommendation for quality products that also meet your financial goal.
